NYE in Sydney, a thing that is almost on everyone's bucket list, well i am so happy that its not on mine anymore! I now know what the fuss is all about! we always think that magic is something that we on earth have no access to, but that is definitely not true! seeing the fireworks coming off of that bridge was definitely magic! So glad we we listened to Aoife and went to the spot that she had picked out, it was just the best, and we didn't even have to be there at 6 AM!

We had such an amazing week in Sydney, which now absolutely is in my top 3 cities of the world! We saw everything that week and went to a lot of museums! We took the ferry down to Manly which is the best ferry ride you can ever take if you want really good pictures of the bridge and the Operahouse! By the way, the Operahouse is quite ugly is you see it from very close, the bricks are a really disgusting color brown! But from far away you don't see this, so that is from where you would want to take your picture! Manly is such a nice place and has one of the best beaches in Sydney!

After all the partying and NYE Mimi and me had decided to go to the Blue Mountains, where we had an awesome hostel that was just a normal house. Just a pitty that the girls in our room never left the room and it actually smelled like dead people in our room!
Laura and Aoife came over to do some mountain walks and we walked to The Three Sisters and then down to the Leura falls which where really nice! We spent a few more days there before we made our way to Bondi.

Bondi, i had seen it so many times already, when Mom, Layla and me were watching Bondi Rescue every weekday at 7:30 pm on tv. So I thought I knew what to expect, well the TV was wrong.
Bondi is a big beach but not as huge as on tv, but I do understand know why so many people drown there, the currents there are crazy!
The more time I spent at Bondi the more I came to love the place, not just Bondi but all the small beaches just around the corner too! so tha week we mainly did a lot of tanning and a lot of mcdonalds eating, which I am extremely good at, as you probably already knew. 30 cent ice creams at mcdonalds have become the only treat a backpacker can afford here in Australia, so obviously we stuffed ourselves with them! Mimi loves them so much she is even going to get a tattoo of this ice cream behind her ear! the crazy girl!

So after almost 3 weeks in and around Sydney it was time to leave and had to Melbourne the big rival of Sydney.
I took the night bus down, and I was very lucky caus the aircon had decided not to work the whole trip!very very pleasant! Mimi took the Greyhound and we met in Melbourne the next morning!
We had a terrible night at Discovery (hostel) where our room was probably not bigger than most bathrooms, and still they had managed to put 5 bunkbeds in there! so the next day we left and went to The Nunnery an awesome hostel!

Everyone had told us that Melbourne was such an awesome city and its so much better than Sydney, but we didn't think that at all. I mean Melbourne is nice don't understand me wrong, but we were just so in love with Sydney and such high hopes for Melbourne and they just didn't come true.
The museum in Melbourne is the best though, a rainforest in the middle and a really cool aboriginal part! We also found an awesome dumpling restaurant where we stuffed ourselves to the fullest!

We booked a tour to the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians national park and that was one of the best things we have ever done!
Even though our tour guide was a pain in the ass, nothing could make this trip less beautiful. We stopped at Lockhart Gorge which looks exactly like one off those beaches in the Algarve in Portugal where the cliffs are running up beside you, soooo beautiful. Then there was, well there used to be, a bridge made out of a huge cliff, and on the day the bridge fell down two lovers were stuck on the other side and they had to be picked up by helicopter. Then the story came out that they were having an affair and now whole Australia knew about it, i really liked this story hahah.
Then we came to The Apostles which was just as a postcard, one of the best things i have ever seen, please look up a picture then you can see what i have seen in real life!

In the Grampians National Park we stayed the night and were woken the next morning by the kookaburra, a bird which laughs like a human, soooo funny! We saw loads of kangaroos and even a koala!
we went up the highest mountain, and had the most beautiful view over the whole national park, and after that we climbed down to Mackenzie Falls, and I have a thing with waterfalls so I was the happiest person there!

After the awesome tour me moved to a hostel in St. Kilda, a place just outside of Melbourne on the beach, and then the heat came. It was terrible, 45 degrees everyday and then those poor people who had to play tennis in that weather! so we tried to go to the beach without getting burned alive, but always ended up watching vampire diaries in our hostel room under the aircon ahhaha.
we found out that the hostel we were in was a real party hostel, so we definitely had a good time there! after a few days I decided to book a flight to Tasmania, This meant that I had to separate from my ultimate bestie Mimi :( we said our goodbyes at the airport, and she went on to fly to Perth! Thank god iI only have to wait until end of April when she is coming to visit me woehoeeee!

I got out of the plain and there came the cold, oh my god I was definitely not used to that anymore!
Hobart, the place where i arrived, is a reallly cute town but there is not much to do! So glad to have met Aleesha and her lovely rapping toothless boyfriend!
Fortunately I found 4 amazing friends and we rented a car and did a roadtrip through Tasmania! we started at Port Arthur, the place where the first convicts were brought. We wanted to get in but when we saw that the tickets were 35 dollars we weren't sure anymore. We were lukcy that they had a really bad system and people who were getting out could just pass them your tickets, so that is how we got in for free!
We saw Wineglass Bay, Launceston, Truawanna Wildlife park in Mole Creek, where we saw a Tasmanian Devil and got to cuddle a wombat which is definitely my new favorite animal. We climbed Cradle mountain, which in Europe you would have never been allowed to climb without mountain climbing gear, but it was the best thing we did in Tassie.
The last day we saw lake St Clair and the Russel Falls, all just so impressive! Thanks for the best roadtrip ever Fritz, Bob, Andreas and Mikael!

Now I am back in good old Brissie again just chillin with the Parkers until I fly to New-Zealand next week! I am so grateful for all the experiences and friends Australia has givin me! Aussie you were great!

Lovesssss from down underrrr
